Huntington Library

Hello everyone! On Sunday I went to the Huntington Library in Pasadena with my parents and let me tell you... That place is beautiful~ They had everything there: art, plants, history, architecture, statues, and good food. What more do you want in life?

Everyone was taking pictures of bees pollinating so I thought I should too.

The tropical rainforest observatory center.

I went to the Desert Plants area first, which had huge cacti. I never realized how tall they can get. Then I made my way to the Japanese Gardens. It felt like Edo Japan, or how I imagine it to be like. Looking at all the different bonsai made me want one myself, but I heard they're very hard to manage. After the Japanese Gardens, I went to look at art, which always gets me excited~ There were a lot of Greek-inspired architecture around the premises and the European art was mostly from the Greek, Roman, French, and Italian age. There was also American modern art and historical art. I recognized one illuminated manuscript I learned in class which was The Book of Hours, so it was pretty awesome seeing something I've learned in person. It was also cool seeing the original "A Single Man" manuscript. I've seen the movie, but have never read the book. It's a brilliant and beautiful movie, really. The rainforest observatory had to be one of the greatest things there. It was so humid and moist, I felt like I was in a real rainforest!

We went to Old Town Pasadena for dinner and I stopped by the AA store and MAC and picked up a little something.

The Huntington Library is great for all you art and shrubbery lovers! I had a great time in LA and hope to stop by there again. As always, thank you for reading~

A tad of plaid

The thing with that cropped top was that it was actually a dress that had a gigantic hole on the side of it. So I was like, what the heck, the bottom half of this dress is damaged so I might as well just keep the top half! As weird as this sounds, I love cutting my clothes LOL My mom said I've been cutting up my wardrobe since I was little tot and it transgressed to this present day, my older teen years. 

I am on a gold-toned jewelry grind at the moment! I've never been much of an accessorizing kinda gal but slowly... my "like" for gold-toned jewelry will develop... and soon I will be obsessed... (^_^)y

I've been having sort of a hair crisis lately, like I don't know what to do with it... Like it's just there, lifeless, on my head. Well duh, hair is lifeless, but this sorry thing I call "hair" has no volume or oomph! I'm also thinking about ditching the whole straight bangs thing and just letting that sucker grow and be whatever it wants to be. And yeah! 

Who else is mad pumped for Christmas? Holy shit, I know I am! The inside of my school is just decked out with Christmas lights and Christmas-y things and they've been playing Christmas jams everyday... And it has gotten me so excited for the holidays you don't even know! 

Feeling extra synthy

My mom and I were cleaning out our closets to donate to charity and in the process I found this beautiful floral maxi dress! It was my mom's when she was still Vietnam and I love it, the dark florals, its length, everything about it! I thought it would look really edgy with a leather jacket and some bad ass shoes. I cinched the waist so it wouldn't look like I was drowning in the dress because that's the case with some maxi dresses, is that they don't emphasize your waist so you look encumbered with all this material *_*

I just found out about this band, Electric Guest, last weekend and I have been listening to their album "Mondo" nonstop! They're like if Foster the People and MGMT had a love child. All of their songs have such funky beats with cool vocals and synths. I am a sucker for some synth!!! I also always find myself getting out of my seat and dancing when I play their album  (＾0＾)┓┗(＾0＾)┓ (＾0＾)┛ I am so upset I didn't find out about them sooner! But it's never too late, right? 

Stop shedding already

I just wanted to say that this is my favorite sweater of all eternity and the fact that it's angora makes it that much better. I'm so obsessed with angora and the fact that it's almost the winter season feeds to my obsession! And no, not because LDR wore this in her "Blue Velvet" music video for H&M, but because it's so cozy and soft! Plus it reminds me of just chilling next to the fireside! Seeing it on LDR just made me want it more~ The downside of angora is that it constantly sheds... Therefore I looked up ways online to keep it from shedding and one person suggested that I put the sweater in a ziploc tight bag and chuck it in the freezer for a couple hours. As I was walking towards the freezer with the ziploc bag containing the sweater in my hand, I noticed my mom giving me the "judging you" look, but I was like "eh" because I get those often LOL So then I did what that lady told people on the interwebs to do and that sucker still sheds! Never listening to you again lady...

I could not express how excited I was when I came across these "fried egg" socks on the UO website! I have a forever love towards eating eggs~ It sounds weird but I can basically eat it anytime and anywhere, like everyday. *sigh* Eggs~ If you haven't noticed, I got a new phone!!! It's a Galaxy S3 and I love it! It's features are amazing and easy to use. Even my mom, who has trouble with using anything technologically advanced can work that sucker ^_~

Hi, hello, what's happenin'? Today was an awesome day for me. I love Fridays! And I'm gonna tell you the reasons why:

1. I get out of school at 12.
2. It's the last weekday, then it's freaken' weekend. 
3. My 2 classes that I have that day are always super chill.
4. I always treat myself out to some delicious lunch.
5. Going home with a full stomach to take a nice, loooooong nap.

And those 5 reasons, my friends, are why I love Fridays so damn much (but like, who doesn't love Fridays anyway).

I am so obsessed with Lana Del Rey's "Ride" music video right now! It has to be my second favorite video of her's, right behind "National Anthem". Her videos are always such masterpieces, so wonderfully thought out, artistic, and beautiful. She has definitely come a long way since "Diet Mtn Dew". Keep on doing what you do best, Lana ♡ And if you haven't seen it yet, please give it a watch~ 

It's coolin' down

I'm so glad it's finally getting a little chilly! I've been waiting to bust out my fall/winter jackets and beanies since... 4 EVER! It finally feels like Autumn too, my favorite season of the year~ Where it doesn't get ice cold or sweltering hot, it's just in between, just how I like it. 

I got those Topshop platforms in the Summer and let me just say... THEY'RE SO COMFORTABLE!!! Also, they give you that extra height, which is always a plus (b￣▽￣)b I walked around Disneyland 12+ hours in them and didn't get blisters or anything. But the velvet material makes them very flimsy and the laces often untie themselves, so I usually double knot them. Nevertheless, they're very true to size and it's a gr8 shoe! I love them to death ( ●＾(ｴ)＾●)

Yeah... I wasn't kidding when I said I've been literally wearing these shoes every damn day... But I just love them so much u_u It would feel wrong if I didn't get my money's worth, y'know? Do you like what I did with the second picture? Shin-chan is just chilling on my bed, drinking juice, nbd~ (✿◡‿◡) 

I have been trying to get my hands on a pair of glittery black socks ever since I saw Nicola from Deciphering Dreams rock her's. So when I saw some in F21, I just had to get it (＾∇＾) 

Guys... guys, I ate 3 pizza slices, a bag of popcorn chicken, and drank bubble tea all within 4 hours... I feel sick and mega sloth-like. Gluttony has gotten the best of me!!!!!!!! So I'm just going to lay down for a while and try gaining my senses again, bye bye~ ( ￣Ｏ￣)ノ

"Lust for Life" has been my favorite song by Girls and summer anthem circa '09! If you know me irl, you'd know that I love pizza. If I can pick something to eat for life, I'd pick pizza... and eggs. Oh! My camera ran out of batteries so my phone had to suffice, but the quality isn't as bad as I thought it would be! 

These socks are my favorite out of all the socks that I own, they're so quirky and different~ I've also been wearing these shoes that I got from eBay non-stop... They're so comfortable and they give you that extra umph and edge that really brings your whole outfit together. They're a gr8 dupe for Jeffrey Campbell's Ving, for a humongous portion of the price too. I really want to stud the back, but my array of spiked goods is getting a bit excessive... So I'm just going to stop myself on this. As always, thank you so much for reading~ Bye ヾ( ´∇`)ﾉ
